The Quad Cities will host the 2025 ComedySportz World Championship from Wednesday to Saturday, July 9-12, at The Spotlight Theatre in downtown Moline.

The event will bring together 25 improv teams from across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, for a four-day competition of fast-paced, family-friendly improvisation.

“Hosting this national event is another exciting win for the Quad Cities,” Lindsey Row, Visit Quad Cities’ director of PR & Communications, said in a news release. “Live comedy events like ComedySportz celebrate creativity and connection — two things that are abundant here in the Creative Capital of the Midwest.”

She added: “We look forward to welcoming competitors from across the country to experience all the QC has to offer.”

Shows will be held Wednesday through Friday evenings at 6, 7:30, and 9 p.m. On Saturday, there will be two shows, at 6 p.m. and the final World Championship match at 8 p.m. All matches are open to the public.

Single Night Passes are available for $20, granting access to all three matches in one evening. An Ultimate Fan Pass for $35 provides unlimited access to all matches throughout the week. Purchase tickets here.

ComedySportz Quad Cities, which launched in 1990, performs every Friday and Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Spotlight Studio.
