This also marks the 32nd consecutive year that Per Mar, headquartered in Davenport, has ranked in the SDM Top 100 Report. First published in 1971, Security Distributing & Marketing (SDM) is a security channel eMagazine, providing comprehensive digital, web and multimedia content to security dealers, installers, integrators, distributors and monitoring companies.
The SDM 100 Report measures consumer dollars gained by security companies in order to present an account of the size of the market captured by the 100 largest residential and non-residential electronic security providers in the United States.
The 2022 SDM 100 ranks U.S. companies that provide electronic security systems and services to both residential and non-residential customers. Rankings are based on information provided to or, in few cases, estimated by SDM. Ranked companies were asked to submit either an audited or reviewed financial statement, or a copy of their income tax return showing total gross receipts for the stated period. The vast majority of the firms ranked are privately held.
