Moline Kiwanis gives $2,109 to five local charities

    The Moline Kiwanis Club has announced the distribution of $2,109 in charitable funds for 2025 from its Porky Pig Fund, Monday, Dec. 8, according to a news release. 

    Five local organizations dedicated to serving children, families and community needs will each receive a $420 donation.

    The 2025 funding recipients are:

    • The Salvation Army.
    • The Marine Toys for Tots Program.
    • The Moline High School Special Olympics.
    • GiGi’s Playhouse.
    • The Children’s Therapy Center.

    “The Moline Kiwanis Club is dedicated to providing support to the Moline community, focusing on organizations that support children,” said Jennifer von Kaenel, club president. “These organizations are all providing great programs and we are proud to support them.”

    The Porky Pig Fund supports charitable and youth-focused initiatives, continuing Kiwanis’ long-standing commitment to service.
