Join Visit Quad Cities and Experience Galesburg for a State of Illinois Tourism Listening Tour stop featuring the organization’s Deputy Director Daniel Thomas on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at Bally’s Quad Cities, Rock Island.

Registration for the event will begin at 3 p.m. at Bally’s, 777 Bally Blvd. The program will be held from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Mr. Thomas became Illinois’ new tourism director in July. He already has kicked off the important conversation about the power of tourism and how it can transform communities, regions and drive Illinois’ visitor economy forward, according to Visit Quad Cities news release. He will complete 25 listening events in 15 days on this inaugural tour, working with Illinois’ 36 statewide certified destination marketing organizations.

The event will feature an open-forum, interactive format and will include a Q&A and discussion. Mr. Thomas also will provide an update on Illinois tourism marketing campaign results, frame the future and listen to tourism stakeholders in the Quad Cities and Galesburg. Food and beverages will be available.

To submit questions for him in advance, fill out this form. For more information and to register, visit the event website.
