As a CDBC entitlement community, Davenport receives an annual allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This year, Davenport received approximately $1.6 million.
The primary goal of the CDBG program, as outlined by Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act is “…development of a viable community by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate incomes.”
To qualify, the nonprofit must have 501(c) (3) status, be in existence for a minimum of one year and located within the City of Davenport. It must also provide eligible programs or services for low- and moderate-income Davenport residents. General information about eligibility and federal requirements can be found on the City’s website at Community & Economic Development. The application workshop will be held virtually via GoToMeeting.
